STATEMENT OF FAITH
GOD:
We believe that there is only one true, ever living, eternal God, infinite in power, holy in nature, full of love, compassion and mercy. All things were created by Him, for Him, and through Him all things hold together.
THE BIBLE:
We believe Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God with supreme authority in matters of faith, conduct and eternity.
JESUS CHRIST:
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, We believe in his virgin birth, his sinless life, atoning death, his bodily resurrection, and in his ascension to the right hand of God.
THE HOLY SPIRIT:
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit and the necessity of His work in conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration and sanctification, and that the believer is also promised an enduement of power as the gift of Christ through the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Through this enduement the believer is empowered for active ministry in the Church, uniting the faithful of all ages, tongues, and races in worship, witnessing, service and to edify the body of Christ.
THE CHURCH:
The church consists of those who confess and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and is therefore commissioned to continue the ministry of Jesus on earth by sharing the Gospel and showing Christ-like love for others by meeting their spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. We believe that the church consisting in diversities of affiliations, ministries, and individuals is called to a co-operate vision to edify the body of Christ in its wider scope.
MANKIND:
We believe in the universal sinfulness of all men since the Fall, rendering man subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
SALVATION:
We believe in the need and provision of salvation through repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which the sinner is pardoned and accepted as righteous before God. This justification is by the grace of God through the atoning work of Christ, is received by faith alone and is evidenced by the Fruit of the Spirit and a holy life. We believe that the Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
THE FUTURE STATE:
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and in the final judgment of the world, the eternal life for the righteous and the eternal punishment of the wicked.
This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith but rather provides guidelines to the use of our service. The Bible provides the final source of all that we believe.
